Daily life in Venice in the XVIII Century with kids
Life and last splendour of the most Serene Republic will be unveiled during the guided tour at Ca’ Rezzonico, the Museum of the 18 Century. We will discover together how the Venetians in the past lived in luxurious palaces, richly furnished and decorated by the great painters of the time, displaying the magnificence of the Republic on the wane. The tour will be a funny and interesting experience for children and also for adults, that will be able to better understand the atmosphere and the hidden meaning behind the images of the works of art using educational work-sheets.
Children will be involved in the tour, accordingly to their age, playing games, following hints, asking for questions, in order to help them to understand and recognize details, stories, characters and stimulate in this way their reflections, comprehension of the subject and creativity. At the end of the visit, they should be able to recognize the main symbols and allegories represented in the works of art exposed and to have a better understanding of the history of this city in a such a special period of its life.
